2nd Project Meeting: Kaunas, Lithuania

The 2nd project meeting of the SAFEMEDIC project took place in Kaunas, Lithuania on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th March 2019. The meeting lasted a full two days with representatives of all 6 project partners attending. The agenda focused on assessing the work completed during the first six months of the project with Intellectual Output (IO) leads presenting on their curriculum plans and the future development of teaching materials.

The meeting took place in the buildings of Kauno Kolegija and coincided with the 11th International Week hosted at the college. With the weeks theme of “From Idea to Product” consortium members were also able to hear lectures and talks by international speakers which will surely help us deliver our goals.

An action plan for the coming months has been mapped out to ensure the timely provision of all intellectual outputs. The team will now work hard on their individual outputs before meeting again in Maribor, Slovenia on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November 2019.

Kick Off Meeting: Kielce, Poland

The Kick-Off meeting for the SAFEMEDIC (Personal Safety of Medical Personnel in Difficult Professional Situations) project took place in Kielce, Poland at the headquarters of the project coordinator, Wyzsza Szkola Ekonomii, Prawa i Nauk Medycznych im. prof. Edwarda Lipinskiego w Kielcach.

The project brings together 6 partners from 6 different EU countries and aims to improve the workplace safety of healthcare professionals by increasing their skills and competences in dealing with difficult situations. The project runs for two years from November 2018 until October 2020.

The meeting enabled partners to meet each other, discuss the aims and objectives of the project and also map out an action plan to ensure the timely provision of deliverables and intellectual outputs. The meeting was a great success and the next consortium meetings has been scheduled for March 2019 in Kaunas, Lithuania.
